This Privacy Policy explains how Brandon Perron Photography handles information in connection with brandonperron.com, including the public photography portfolio, contact and print-inquiry features, website analytics, and the private Google Search Console / Google Analytics reporting dashboard used by the site owner.

Information you provide

If you contact Brandon Perron Photography or submit a print inquiry, the website may collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, subject, message, selected photographs, and order or fulfillment details. This information is used to respond to your inquiry, communicate about artwork or services, and fulfill requests or purchases.

Contact and inquiry information may be stored in the website's protected administrative area and may also be delivered to the studio's configured email account. It is not sold to third parties.

Website analytics and technical information

The website may use two kinds of analytics.

Private built-in analytics

When enabled, the website's first-party analytics may record page paths and titles, full-size photograph views, share actions, referring website hostnames, a broad device category such as desktop, mobile, or tablet, and a pseudonymous session identifier. The built-in analytics do not intentionally store visitor IP addresses, names, email addresses, precise locations, or browser fingerprint profiles. Built-in analytics can be configured to respect a browser's Do Not Track signal and are retained according to the site's configured analytics-retention setting.

Google Analytics 4

The website may also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic and engagement. Google may receive information about visits and interactions, such as pages viewed, events, device and browser information, traffic source or referral information, and approximate geographic information, in accordance with Google's own policies and settings. GA4 reporting is used to understand how the portfolio is found and used and to improve the website.

Browser storage

The website may use browser local storage or session storage for ordinary site functions such as remembering a light/dark theme choice, preserving a temporary photograph shortlist, remembering gallery or viewer preferences, and maintaining a pseudonymous first-party analytics session. You can clear this information using your browser controls.

Google OAuth and Google user data

Brandon Perron Photography includes a private administrative dashboard that the site owner can connect to the owner's Google account using OAuth 2.0. This connection is an administrative feature only; public visitors are not asked to connect their Google accounts.

The dashboard requests only read-only Google permissions needed for its reporting features:

Google Search Console read-only access is used to display the site's own search-performance information, including queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, sitemap information, and URL inspection/indexing information.

Google Analytics read-only access is used to display the site's own GA4 reporting, including users, sessions, page views, landing pages, acquisition sources, devices, countries, events, engagement, and realtime aggregate reporting.

These permissions do not allow the website to edit Google Search Console or Google Analytics data, and the integration does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or unrelated Google account content.

Google user data obtained through these read-only APIs is used only to display reporting inside the private website-admin dashboard. It is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with independent third parties. The website may temporarily cache reporting results in protected server storage for approximately 10 minutes to reduce repeated API requests.

To maintain the connection, the website stores an OAuth refresh token and OAuth client credentials in protected server configuration. It does not store the Google account password. Disconnecting the Google account from the website removes the locally stored authorization and attempts to revoke the Google OAuth grant. Authorization can also be revoked from the Google Account's connected-app permissions.

Brandon Perron Photography's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Hosting, security, and service providers

The website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. Like most web hosts, the provider may maintain standard server and security logs that can include technical information such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, request timestamps, and requested URLs. Those hosting logs are separate from the website's private built-in analytics described above.

Information may be processed by service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the website, deliver email, provide analytics, protect the site, or complete a transaction. If payment functionality is enabled, payment information is processed by the selected payment provider under that provider's own privacy practices; Brandon Perron Photography does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers on this website.

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information stored by the site, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data retention

Inquiry and order information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, fulfill requests, maintain appropriate business records, or comply with legal obligations, and may be deleted from the private admin when no longer needed. First-party analytics follow the site's configured retention period. Google OAuth authorization remains until it is disconnected, revoked, expires, or is otherwise removed. Google Analytics data is subject to the retention settings and policies associated with the connected Google Analytics property.

Your choices

You may choose not to submit a contact or print-inquiry form. You can clear local browser storage through your browser settings. Browser privacy controls and Google-provided controls may affect analytics collection. You may also contact Brandon Perron Photography to ask about personal information you previously submitted through the website or to request correction or deletion where applicable.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and Brandon Perron Photography does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when website features, service providers, or data practices change. The current version will remain available at this URL and the "Last updated" date will be revised when material changes are made.
